The beginning

After a ton of encouragement from my family and friends (mostly you mom!) I finally decided to start a blog. Not just any blog but one about all of the different things I make or renovate. It is not unusual for me to take a t shirt or dress and turn it into something brand new. I love to go to thrift stores and find an unloved shirt or dress and turn it into something beautiful. Or to find a pair of shoes to die for that I could not afford on a college students budget, only to create a cheaper and equally beautiful knockoff version.  It is not unusual for me to sew a quilt or cook a three course meal or cook myself a 6 layer birthday cake. Hopefully this blog will inspire others to reuse, redo and create one of a kind items to cherish and to Make it with Maddy.
